Vendors

Interested in becoming a vendor at the St. Jacobs Expo? All you need are enough animals, supplies, feeders, etc. to fill a table. We welcome everyone - breeders, retail stores, educational groups, herpetological societies, craft and clothing vendors! As long as you're selling or displaying something reptile related, feel free to contact us about a table!

Table Fee: Table fee is $50 for an 8ft table with price breaks available for vendors taking more than 2 tables. Fee is payable by 4pm on the date of the expo or any time throughout the day.

Free Tables: One free 8ft table is available to non-profit organizations such as reptile rescues, herpetological societies and educational groups. These tables are for information, adoptions and fund raising only. Selling products or supplies to help support your organization is permitted, but the sale of animals is not.

Restrictions: No venomous/poisonous reptiles or arachnids are permitted at the expo. Boas and pythons which will exceed 6.6ft in adult length cannot be sold and tortoises are also prohibited in Woolwich County. Bylaw information can be found on theTownship website (page 10, section L). If you would like to bring these animals for photographs or display, please contact us at least two weeks in advance so we can request permission from the Township.

Vendor Set-Up: Set up for vendors begins at 8am on the morning of the expo. Look for your business name or ask one of the expo hosts (Mark or Lisa) where you should set up. You will have two hours to fill your table before the doors open to the public. If you finish early, the Harvest Moon Restaurant next door serves a wonderful breakfast or there is a Tim Hortons on King Street in the village. Someone will be available to keep an eye on your table. We don't reserve specific table locations, but preference will be given to vendors who attend every expo and would like to be placed in the same area they were in last year. If you do not require electricity we ask that you please choose a table in the center of the room to avoid stretching power cords along the walk-ways. Be sure to bring your own power bars/extension cords. Painters tape must be used for any signs attached to the walls or tables and also to hold down any extension cords. Please do not use duct tape or packing tape. Tape will be available if you need it.
